Windows Re-Installation Issue Issue: Cannot Re-Install Windows on a PC with Existing Operating System Resolution: Use a 3rd Party Utility to fdisk or format the hard drive. All hard drive manufacturers have these utilities on their web site. Or create a bootable floppy or cd making sure to include fdisk on the media. Cause: Appears to be the new ide\sata mode selection on the newest motherboards. It has LITTLE or NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MAINBOARD REVISION excepting this is new because of SATA\IDE settings. A few uneducated individuals have decided that this issue only exists on Rev.1 boards...WRONG. |
